Though it was not an unlikable year, I am happy that 2018 is coming to an end. The second half of the year, the last six months were a little challenging but I’m glad it was. As I always say, everything happens for a reason and whatever happens, happens for the best.
Can you believe that we’ve been living in Ankara for more than 5 years now? Because I can not. We moved to this city all of a sudden in 2013. We didn’t know the city, we didn’ know anyone, we were just the two of us… After 5 years now, we are a beautiful family of four. Yes I’m talking about the best thing that happened this year; Tobias Fünke joining to our family♥
I turned 36 this in 2018. It feels like 40 is just around the corner. We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. He’s my home♥ I celebrated my first veganniversary One of the best but extremely belated decisions I’ve made in my life.
It was a very eye-opening year for me. 2017 was a year that I did nothing. Litterally nothing… I can’t say I did a lot in 2018 but I realized and learnt A LOT. But I didn’t move a lot, sadly. My pool membership has expired by July and I haven’t done anything workout related since then. But again we ate A LOT. We discovered and enjoyed vegan food. I started a new blog and a new Instagram page to share my love for vegan food & food photography. Even if they were a bit neglected lately, I love spending time with anything related FOOD.
Again this year we weren’t able to travel as much as we wanted. But we were able to have a wonderful summer holiday and spent 10 days in our favorite place in Datça and decided to move there one day. The best days of the year.
I wasn’t really into blogging. However I (hardly) completed my 52 Journal Questions challenge. But I was into reading. My 2018 reading challenge is a triumph! I’ve read 45 books, 8,390 pages. My favorites are Martin Eden by Jack London, Baudolino by Umberto Eco, The Dance of Anger by Harriet Lerner and by all means The Earthsea series by by Ursula K. Le Guin.
No doubt we were Netflix zombies through out the year but we did see really good movies and shows. Seven Psychopaths, Ladybird, American Hustle, The Killing of A Sacred Dear, A Quiet Place, BlacKkKlansman and A Star Is Born were my favorites. Wild Wild Country, The Ozarks and The Crown were gripping but my favorite was againDirk Gently’s Hollistic Detective Agency.
And I listened to music, POP MUSIC.
This was our 2018 more or less. As I said above, it wasn’t an unlikeable year but somehow I feel that 2018 was so sneaky and secretively tried to teach us lessons. and it did!
I hope 2019 to be healthy, happy and peaceful for all of you out there. I wish your dreams come true. I hope you love and are loved so soo much.
For myself, I hope 2019 to be a year that I can put the things I know into practice, carry out the things I’ve learnt to real life. I wish it to be a year that I can preserve my motivation. I wish it to be with my loved ones, because when they are here with me I’m the happiest
