March 2019

I just realized that I haven’t written a monthly recap for March 2019. Writing daily posts made me forget all about that.

Months pass by, seasons come and go and the only thing that doesn’t change is me packing our bags. It was my mother’s birthday and we spent the first weekend of March at my parents’. The next packing was for Istanbul. My sister and her husband had a trip to Zurich and then to Berlin. They stayed for one week and so did I in Istanbul. It was like a vacation and I didn’t see any of my friends except one night we had dinner with a group of ours as Mr. T came for the weekend, too. I was on my own and at home with the cats mostly. I took walks, watched TV, read my books, did a little shopping, had a relaxing time. But it was so much fun when he came I took him to the restaurant where they make delicious dumplings once I went with my sister in February.

I miss my home, I miss my kids. Coming home was the best part as always. We celebrated it with a kitchen party but the next day was catastrophique. We’re not 20 anymore, we should remember that more often…

When In Istanbul I watched the 3rd season of True Detective and Sharp Objects. I loved them both. Before I left we finished watching After Life. It was amazing. I love Ricky Gervais (I even follow him on Instagram)!  I’ve read 3 books and one of them is now one of my all time favorites: Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman. I can not find words for this book. I’ve read Goodreads comments and someone wrote exactly “Shattering. This book is a fucking axe to the heart“. And it is! I also read The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.

March 2019 was busy and full but when I read what I just wrote it sounded like a lazy average month but it wasn’t! It was a little tiring but totally fun. I hope April is fun for you!
