I didn’t like August 2019. Not a bit. Except the days we were on vacation. The rest was shit. Shit kept happening and I was feeling like shit. Well, sometimes we all have to go through that shitty situations.
Anyway, in the last week of July and the first 10 days of August we were on vacation. What can I say? It was amazing. Sea, salt, sun, books, french fries and beer. This is what we love to do in “summer vacations”.
While we were cruising through the south, we visited a couple of places we’ve been wanting to see. One of them was Cedrae Island, the famous Cleopatra Beach. While we were around we dropped by Selimiye. It has a special place in our hearts because nine years ago we spent our first vacation together there. Nine. Years. Ago.
On our way back home, we visited an ancient city; Hierapolis. I went nuts again. While visiting those old places there’s only one question in my mind: WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED HERE? Historical places and works fascinate me every single time. I seriously lose my mind. Hierapolis is one of those places.
There was a famous cave near Hierapolis, it’s called Kaklık Cave. It’s an interesting place but the smell is unbearable as the water has a high amount of sulphur in it. AS you can guess it smells like rotten eggs and as a vegan I didn’t enjoy a bit.
And let’s finish these vacation recap with a few of my glamorous vacation photos.
After vacation, my sister and I went to visit our parents and stayed a few days. Family is always the best therapy for me (after the sea, I guess). I didn’t write what I read in June and July so I’m planning to post my summer reads in coming days. But we are back to movies FINALLY! We were so hung up on Netflix and series lately and I wasn’t liking it. We watched John Wick 3: Parabellum, Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book, Youth and Quiz Show.
Now I really want to put this blog post to an end because after not writing for weeks, a this long post felt kind of overwhelming.
September is my medicine, It has always been good to me. I’m feeling great, I hope you too!
Have a nice September!
