Sometimes I really have no idea why I post these monthly recaps. We have an extremely normal life, each month is usually the same and we can’t say our lives are full of adventures. Seriously there’s nothing very interesting here. But still, here is our December 2019 recap…
The month started great and we had a lot to celebrate. We celebrated good news, we celebrated birthdays, we celebrated the new year… First, we had some terrific developments to celebrate together. Next, it was one of our friend’s birthday so we had a nice dinner together. Which makes that dinner special was I drank raki after 19 years. The first and the last time I drank raki was on my 18th birthday. No, not going to dig the birthday story here. Long story short, it was a beautiful night. Lastly, our fur babies had their birthday parties. I now understand why parents who have two or more children celebrate their birthdays on the same date…
Other than celebrations, it was a calm month until we bought a kitchen cabinet and decided to assemble it by ourselves. Big mistake. Big big mistake… But in the end we’re still happily married! And I have a giant tea shelf and I love it!
We cooked, we ate, we tried new restaurants which have vegan options, some of them we liked, some of them we didn’t. I tried vegan schnitzel and sorry not my cup of tea. People really should stop trying so hard to veganize everything. While talking about vegan stuff, our new year’s eve dinner was totally vegan. Everything was so delicious and cruelty-free.
We once made a decision to stay away from TV shows but we failed. Because this happened!
I’m sorry but this is too much. I’m not even a Henry Cavill fan. Well, he was young and nice in Tudors years ago and I know he was Superman once. But Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia is… something else. I was once a Legolas lover so I guess that’s understandable.
I decided to watch Succession and it immediately became a favorite and I wasn’t surprised when it won the Golden Globe for the Best Television Series. I finished the first season but now I’m re-watching it with Mr. T. I loooove it.
In December 2019, I’ve read Laid, Pauvre et Malade and Priez Pour Nous by Sylvain Chomet. Then I read another graphic novel; Portugal by Cyril Pedrosa. I also read Outwitting the Devil by Napolen Hill and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz.
And the new year’s eve. We were at home with our babies. We had a very vegilicious dinner. The night suddenly turned into “a living room dance party” after I finished the first bottle of wine. After the second battle, I was drunk. I mean “drunk” drunk… I can’t remember much but I was shocked in the morning when I saw that I washed the dishes. Needless to say, the next morning was horrible.
And that’s it. That was our last month of the year 2019. 2020 started great! It’s snowing outside right now. I’m not a winter person but I’m grateful that I’m at home, warm and enjoying my cup of tea. Have a nice January!
